Founder & Principal Designer
Kasandra Rafter is the Founder and Principal Designer of Canyon Creative Studio. With more than two decades of experience in high-end furniture and interior design, Kasandra is known for creating spaces that feel soulful, layered, and alive. Her work carries an intuitive mix of rebellion and refinement — a language of vintage and custom, boldness and restraint, edge and elegance.
Kasandra’s work spans residential, commercial, and hospitality projects; from private hillside estates to creative city spaces, each guided by the belief that design should tell a story and reflect the spirit of the people who inhabit it.
In 2021, she brought this philosophy to Canyon Creative Studio. The Studio embodies her vision — part gallery, part gathering place, part sanctuary of design — with a Design Atelier at its heart. Here, bespoke interiors unfold alongside curated furniture, vintage finds, art, and soulful objects, each piece chosen for its ability to spark connection and meaning.
Design Philosophy
For Kasandra, design is never decoration, it is storytelling. She draws inspiration from the natural environment, the architecture, and how the client wants to live in the space, ensuring each project feels both connected to its setting and authentic to the lives unfolding within it. Every space should carry layers that evolve with time; every object should feel like it belongs to a life well lived.
She is drawn to contrast and tension, believing the unexpected is what gives a space its soul. Her work balances precision with emotion, crafting environments that are timeless yet alive, elevated yet approachable — spaces that feel effortless, natural, and enduring.
